OUR VISION

Shalom Community Park will be a safe and vibrant green space where everyone feels at home. For generations to come, this park at the junction of Deering Avenue and Devonshire Street will foster learning, exploration, and cultural bridge-building for children and adults of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Construction has begun! We hope to open Shalom Community Park to the public in spring of 2024.

Woodfords Corner neighborhoods have all the components of a complete neighborhood - except we need more open public green spaces for gathering, playing, mingling, tarrying - for getting to know each other. It’s in these open spaces that neighborhoods are made - because neighbors make the ‘hood - especially when they can come outside and meet each other easily.
